From the Mayor...
The Village Board recently approved an economic incentive agreement for the development of another new downtown restaurant. The new business will be located near the intersection of Seymour Avenue and Center Street and occupy a currently vacant building. In addition to the preservation and rehab of this older vacant building the plan includes an expansion to the east on currently vacant property. The expanded footprint would include outdoor seating on both the ground level and second floor. The estimated $2,500,000 project is just the latest private investment in the downtown area of the Grayslake Village Center. The new establishment will be called First Draft Grayslake and will offer locally sourced family cuisine. It will initially create 30 full-time and 30 part-time positions.
